FAQ

Good to know before you play.

When is drop-in and how much?

Thursday through Monday, 7:00–11:00 PM. It is $10 per person (plus fees) for a one-day membership, ages 14 and up.

Do I need a waiver?

Yes — sign the one-time waiver before your first night so you can get straight onto the court.

Is there volleyball training too?

Yes. Boomtown runs ongoing youth training (ages 9–16) and regular adult training in addition to drop-in — see the Volleyball Training page.

Can I bring outside food or drink?

No. Outside commercial food and drink is not allowed in the facility, and only sealed, clear water is permitted on the courts.

Is Boomtown a city rec center?

No — Boomtown FieldhouseUSA is a commercial sports and events facility, not a municipal recreation center.

What if I lose something?

The facility does not keep a lost & found — unclaimed items are cleared nightly, so please keep track of your own gear.

House Rules

How drop-in runs — read before you play.

  • One court runs King of the Court (winner stays) at men’s net height. Whoever challenges next must keep score to earn the next game — this keeps things fair and avoids double-booking.
  • All other nets run a 2-on / 2-off policy: every waiting team plays two games in a row, win or lose, then rotates to the back of the line. Teams keep circulating — winning isn’t what drives play time.
  • We offer a women’s net nightly.
  • No arguments. If a point is protested, replay it.
  • All games are played to 25.
  • Drop-in hosts run the night and set the rules; they may add house rules as they see fit.
  • Everyone must be stamped to enter. Anyone caught sneaking in or not paying must pay or leave — and is charged double for all future entry.
  • Stealing balls means immediate ejection, a permanent ban, and a report for theft.
  • All bags are subject to search for safety and security.
  • No outside food or drink.
  • No children under 14 unless a parent is present at all times and has paid entry.
  • Spectators must pay to enter. Children entering with a parent are also charged — it’s impossible to regulate otherwise.
